Datuk Dr. Hj. Azami Hj. Said DMSM, AMN, Ph.D comes from Alor Star, the
capital of the state of Kedah in Malaysia. His basic
education was in pharmacy with a diploma from the Institute
Pembantu Farmasi, PJ which is accredited by the Ministry of
Health (MOH) Malaysia.
He went on to complete a BBA and an MBA from UNITAR
university in Malaysia and also an MBA from the ACU Wyoming,
USA. He was conferred a Ph.D in management by the NCGU
California, USA.
His extensive business experience began in 1997 as the sole
proprietor of a medical Supplies business. N.A.Z. grew quickly
and became a private limited company (Sdn. Bhd.) in July
1999.
Datuk Dr. Hj. Azami is the president of the Malaysian Bumiputra
Association of Medical and Scientific Suppliers (PERUTAMA).
He is a member of the economic advisory body the Ahli Majlis
Ekonomi Melayu Malaysia, for the development of
entrepreneurs. He is also actively involved in youth social
work and local politics on a voluntary basis.
During his service in the Malaysia Armed Forces Medical
Corps Datuk Dr. Hj. Azami saw active duty in Somalia and Kampuchea as a
member of the UN Peacekeeping forces. For this he was
awarded several medals and recognized in the Sultan’s
Birthday Honours List on several occasions.
Datuk Dr. Hj. Azami is a passionate Malaysian businessman and he
continues to strive for excellence in the areas he is
actively involved – business, education, social work and
local politics.
